The people behind BAKALÒ Mykonos


BAKALÒ Mykonos is the newest culinary venture by Nikos Nanou and Egidio Guerreri. The duo met in Brussels, Belgium, in 1997 and since then they have been business and soul partners. They started their first professional adventure in Mykonos in 2002 and in the years that followed they opened several successful restaurants, including the original BAKALÒ Mykonos in 2010.

Meanwhile, they fell in love with Miami Beach… slowly slowly it became their home and the moment the opportunity presented, they were ready to go and BAKALÒ Mykonos is born.

The common element of all the different places that they have created through the years (…. apart from the open kitchens) is the “hospitality concept”. What really makes the experience of dining in their places unique is the attention to the smallest details and the personalized service. The warm welcoming and the dedication on having every single customer as happy as possible.

For BAKALÒ Mykonos Egidio and Nikos joined forces with old friends… Another Greek Italian couple, also Miami Beach residents, Giovanni Sandri and Stevi Tsapi. Giovanni is a trained chef with an extensive restaurant experience in Italy, and his wife Stevi brings to the table not only her years in the fashion industry, but also her restaurant experience from her family’s acclaimed Tsapis Restaurant, established on the idyllic Sifnos island since 1967; they met in Mykonos (there we go again…) and decided to move to Miami in 2016 were they started their company Unique Catering Design. Together, they are a perfect combination of highly trained Italian cuisine and impeccable design aesthetics.

By developing an ongoing relationship with their clients, Giovanni and Stevi work to deliver an authentic experience. Simplicity and elegance go into all their dishes with a personalized and trustworthy service. All of this with a touch of surprise to elevate any occasion to an unforgettable event.

In the kitchen, Greek Head Chef Chrisantsos Latsis, with extensive experiences in Greece and in Miami has joined the team, and with his brigade is ready to spoil you with his Greek culinary delights
